Ever since Kevin got sick, he resisted therapies, even though he knew they would ultimately be helpful. Lori took the role of partner – to us and to Kevin – and has helped him see the immediate benefits of the activities he has been assigned. She continues to strive for activities that help him identify areas of interest and even would goes so far as to learn about things that interest him, so that she can guide him. There is no question in our mind that she has Kevin’s interest – and only his interest – at heart.
Our two year old son has been working with Lori for about 4 months. In that time, we have seen his confidence grow with saying words, making new sounds, and using sign language. Lori is patient and very engaging during the speech sessions. Our son truly looks forward to and enjoys his time with her.
Lori provides excellent support for Glenn in both speech and cognitive therapy. She is consistently resourceful and supportive for both of us. Her therapy techniques are personalized to meet his needs and his interests. Not only has Glenn made significant progress in speech and cognitive function but is regaining confidence as well.
Prior to meeting Lori, I didn’t really understand the struggles of executive function. She is the absolute BEST!!! If you or your child needs help in this area give her a call. Executive function is an area that Bartonella/Lyme has caused trouble for Aiden. Lori’s excited expertise has been a complete game changer!
You did so much to help me get the time I needed to work on those weak muscles- I know it made such a difference in my outcome. I remember sitting at home doing my “homework” and making a video to send you of the first time I got my right side to move ! We both cried with excitement at that milestone accomplished. It was such a relief to know all our work was paying off.
I don’t think I ever could have made the progress I did with my therapy without your constant encouragement and dedication to helping me. I know you spent lots of time researching my illness and looking for other ways to help me. Your genuine interest in my situation and willingness to go the extra mile was so inspiring- I didn’t feel like I was just a patient- I felt like I mattered. For all of that, I am so grateful.
